Proud to Support the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society

The Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners’ Royal Benevolent Society (Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society for short) provides financial help to fishers, mariners and their dependants who are in need.

They pay an immediate grant to the widow or partner of a seafarer who dies, whether death occurs at sea or ashore. Regular grants are paid where circumstances justify on-going support.

Special grants are made to meet particular needs in crisis situations.  We also make funeral grants.

Practical assistance is given to seafarers shipwrecked on the coast of the British Isles.
