About VIMMS WBV
An additional module to the VIMMS system, VIMMS WBV tracks the crew via individual ID cards, logging Whole Body Vibration exposure data to their personnel account, allowing management to view crew WBV exposure across all boats in the fleet.
Vertical displacement sensors monitor the performance of the seat, ensuring the correct setup for occupant weight and highlighting a shock mitigating seat that requires servicing before an injury occurs.
The VIMMS twin LED display continues to provides real time data for the driver to understand the impact of their driving, and to slow down or alter course to reduce the effects of repeated shocks and whole body vibration on crew and passengers.
Data is uploaded to the VIMMS Pro Portal, where the crews WBV exposure can be tracked from a yearly overview down to individual shifts, comparing results across different vessels.

Data is accessed through the VIMMS Console providing detailed information on daily operations, and a long term overview of the entire fleet. Key metrics make it simple to maintain operational oversight, maximising productivity and increasing wellbeing of staff.
With managers making data driven decisions and forecasting potential issues, VIMMS increases safety and provides an organisation with a cost effective tool to increase their duty of care and meet regulatory targets.
Incorporating Microsoft AI technologies, the VIMMS Console provides insight on the differences in performance across the fleet and promotes collaborative learning to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
Hardware
VIMMS rugged construction has been proven on military vessels operating in the extreme conditions. Simple to fit and setup, the compact dashboard unit contains the processing unit, solid state storage and internal GPS antenna. Self calibrating sensors are mounted to the vessel structure and the drivers seat, connecting to the dashboard unit with supplied cables.

US Coastguard
VIMMS is fitted as standard on the next generation of the US Coast Guard’s Over The Horizon (OTH V) cutter boats. With 200 boats in production, these are the Coast Guard’s first boats with a shock monitoring system.
