Applications

Trusted By Professionals

From pilot transfer and defence craft to passenger experiences and autonomous vessels, the same foundation applies: measure the real operation and deliver useful evidence.

01

Passenger operations

A consistent standard for every trip and every skipper.

Passenger craft operate with changing sea conditions, different occupants and a duty to provide an experience that is both enjoyable and responsibly managed. Live feedback helps the skipper respond as the ride changes.

The retained journey record can also help an operator understand an incident rather than relying only on recollection. Existing VIMMS work includes boat-safari applications where recorded data supported the subsequent investigation of a passenger injury.

  • Live indication along the vessel
  • Operator-defined thresholds
  • Journey and incident record
  • Evidence for training and review
02

Pilot & offshore transfer

Objective motion information at the point of transfer.

SeaTRAX was developed for commercial transfer operations including pilot boats and offshore wind support. Pitch, roll, heave, heading, impacts and vibration create a broader picture than significant wave height alone.

This helps the skipper make an objective assessment of local conditions during both transit and transfer, protecting people, equipment and the vessel.

  • Pitch, roll, heave and heading
  • Transit and transfer-phase evidence
  • Local condition assessment
  • Fixed display or rugged tablet

Defence & government

Evidence for demanding high-speed operations.

VIMMS has been shaped by work with military, government and professional operators where vessel availability, crew protection and defensible engineering decisions all matter.

The system can support fleet comparison, seat and layout trials, operational review and the investigation of unusually severe events without disclosing sensitive operational detail.

  • High-speed craft monitoring
  • Seat and occupant comparison
  • Trials and acceptance evidence
  • Fleet learning

USV & mission intelligence

A learning layer for autonomous high-speed craft.

Current development extends the VIMMS measurement foundation into mission analysis for unmanned and autonomous craft. High-rate sensor data, structured mission replay and environmental context can support measurable control refinement.

This is an engineering programme in development, with evidence and safe deployment gates taking priority over speculative automation.

  • High-rate sensor fusion
  • Mission replay and comparison
  • Safety-envelope monitoring
  • Cloud-synchronised fleet learning
